No appointment is necessary for our drop off service. Simply come in during our regular business hours (M-F 930-4 & Sat. 9-1) and we’ll be glad to help. For large Express Shreds (2 containers) you’re encouraged to call in advance so we can quickly accommodate your needs.
We do not provide or sell boxes; you are required to obtain your own containers. However, we are not picky in the containers you use (even trash bags are fine!), and we do offer bin services where you can skip the boxes and empty your documents directly into our 65 gallon lockable bins.
No, we specialize in secure paper shredding specifically. We can not accept digital items: CD’s, Discs, Hard Drives, Data Reels, flash drives and X-Rays should be separated from shredding.
With any pickup or drop off of documents, Mansfield shredding will issue and provide a certificate of destruction for your records in compliance with HIPAA and FACTA regulations. This notifies you of when your documents were destroyed, and relieves you of liability.
Prices are based on the size of your container and not by weight. Use the prices/box sizes listed as a reference.
With drop off, your documents are destroyed same day in the order received. Your Certificate of Destruction will be sent out no later than the following business day.
Yes, Mansfield Shredding is fully insured, bonded and compliant with 201 CMR 17.00 – Standards for the Protection of Personal Information of the Commonwealth of MA, the federal Standards for Privacy of Individually Identifiable Health Information (“PHI”) 45 CFR parts 160 and 164 (HIPAA/Privacy Rule), the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), modification of HIPAA under the American Recovery & Revitalization act (ARRA), Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act (HITECH act).

All shredded paper is recycled at a secure NAID certified recycling facility. This is part of having a "secure chain of custody". In 2023 alone Mansfield Shredding destroyed and recycled over 2.1 million Lbs. of paper!
The dimensions for a file box are approximately 12x10x24. (I.e. your standard file drawer)

Express shredding is where you can watch your documents being destroyed immediately in front of you. Maximum of 2 containers per visit.
No, that’s part of the service we provide. Any typical office product that does not get fed through the shredder will be removed by our trained staff. You should remove any digital items, X-Rays, trash, medicine or other hazardous materials.
No, any container you store your documents in is sufficient. Price varies with the size of your container. The dimensions and prices given on our website are just a reference point.
